WoW Inscription Guide
The profession of Inscription gives
players the ability to create magical Glyphs that can
boost a character's power in various ways. This WoW
Inscription guide introduces Inscriptions and explains how
to level in Inscriptions as rapidly as possible.
You can create Minor Glyphs, and Major Glyphs for the more
powerful alteration effects on a character's abilities. You can
really have alot of fun with Inscriptions, even changing the
nature of your spells into damage over time, for example, or
adding new effects to them altogether.
Insribers can take herbs and turn them into pigments, which
make ink, which is used to
write Glyphs and scrolls. Inscribers can also create scrolls
that enchanters can add enchantments to, to create something
special and valuable that can be sold for a good price at
Auction. The best profession to study in tandem with
Inscription in the view of this WoW Inscription guide is
definitely Herbalism - as you need a lot of Herbs for your
ink.
WoW Inscription Guide to Leveling
Inscription is a rather complex and interesting profession,
which can be huge fun when used to its full potential. But
while the skill itself is a little complex, leveling in it is
relatively easy so don't worry you'll be a high-level Inscriber
in no time at all.
The first step is of course to find a trainer and become an
Apprentice Inscriber. Ask your nearest town guard where to find
an Incsription Trainer. You automatically learn Milling when
you do this - this is the skill that allows you to turn herbs
into pigments for ink. Also buy an Inking Set from the trainers
while you are there. And you'll want at least 4 stacks of light
parchment to get going with.
You need to find Alabaster Pigment-Based Herbs, such as
Peacebloom, Silerleaf ad Earthroot. (see the the partner-page
to this WoW Inscription guide: WoW Herbalism Guide for some
herb locations). When you have 5 of a herb you can use Mill to
turn them into pigments. Altogether, gather 80 pigments from
these herbs.
Next, make 18 Ivory Ink and create either 17 stamina
scrolls, 17 intellect scrolls OR 17 Spirit scrolls. You should
reach level 35. Use the rest of your Pigments on Moonglow Ink,
which will brin you up to level 55 or higher. Use your Moonglow
Ink to make Armour Vellums until you reach level 87. And do a
daily research.
Next we want to use Dusky Pigment-based Herbs, such as
Mageroyal, Briarthorn, Swiftthistle, Bruiseweed and
Stranglekelp. Mill these until you have 20 Dusky Pigments and 2
Verdant Pigments.
Make Hunter's Ink until you reach level 90. And the make
Midnight Ink from your Dusky Pigments to make either 10 Glyphs
of Hammer of Justice, 10 Glyphs of Ice Armour, 10 Glyphs of
maul or 10 Glyphs of Serpent Sting, whichever you prefer. You
will reach level 100.
And you want to buy 6 stacks of common parchments for the
Glyphs coming up. For the next stage in this WoW Inscription
guide, we'll be using golden Pigment-based herbs. These are
Wild Steelbloom, Grave Moss, Kingsblood and Liferoot. Collect
and Mill enough to create 120 Golden Pigments. Plus 5 Burnt
Pigments. Turn the whole lot of Golden Pigments into Lion's
Ink. You'll reach 105.
Make 5 of either Glyph of Eviscerate, Fade or Holy Light to
reach level 110. 5 of Either Glyph of Rending, Health Funnel or
Firenova to hit level 115. And tehn make 10 of either Glyph of
Healing Touch, Aspect of Monky or Arcane Missiles. Then turn
the Burnt Pigments into Dawnstar Ink and you will have reached
130. And this is where our WoW Inscription guide finishes.
