The Ultimate World of Warcraft Stratgy Guide
Firstly, for those not yet very familiar with the game,
World of Warcraft is the most successful MMORPG (Massive
Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) in history. Today it has
over 11 million players.
It is set in the mythical world of Azeroth. This world is
split between two main factions - The Alliance and The Horde
(who losely represent the sides of good and evil). Then there
are all the thousands of neutral creatures and factions who
have not joined either side. The Alliance and The Horde
constantly battle for power, and when you create a character in
this world you must choose a side to join - be careful in your
choise because if you belong to The Horde you cannot even talk
to characters in The Alliance, even if they are your friends.
You are now sworn enemies. One major piece of advice in this
World of Warcraft strategy guide is to pick your sides
carefully. It's a lot of fun bein able to talke to friends in
WoW, so make sure you aren't enemies.
When you begin the game and create your character, you will
choose a race and a character class. You must find a class
trainer to progress in your chosen class.
Alliance:
Drenei
Dwarves
Gnomes
Humans
Night Elves
Horde:
Undead
Trolls
Tauren
Orcs
Blood Elves
And as you progress you will develop your character in
different directions by choosing professions. This is a very
important decision for your character, and one of the excellent
things about WoW is the dynamic economy that exists in Azeroth
- that you can become part of and earn your living. Earning
gold is an essential focus of your gameplay in Wow, as you need
it to repair things, buy items, and generally progress through
levels in the game. This World of Warcraft strategy guide
doesn't go into detail about how to earn Gold, but you can
check out the WoW Gold
Guide.
The primary professions are Gathering Professions: Mining,
Skinning and Herballism, or Crafting Professions:
Blacksmithing, Tailoring, Alchemy, Engineering, Enchanting,
Jewelcrafting and Inscription. Then there are secondary
professions: Cooking, Fishing and First Aid. Plus Lock Picking
and Poisons for the Rogue.
If You Fail to Plan, You Plan to Fail
When you are playing WoW, any good World of Warcraft
strategy Guide will tell you about the importance of planning
ahead. In this game if you want to enjoy the game and
consistently level up, you should really know where you are
going. Otherwise you can easily get stuck, waste time, get held
up, or lose momentum. The WoW world of Azeroth is immense, so
map out the general path you want to take - and the zones you
will visit for certain level ranges.
Planning in this way will save you a tonne of time. For
example, when you enter a zone, get all the quests you can find
there. Then do all of the quests in one area of that zone,
before crossing to the other section of the zone. And only turn
all these quests in when your path naturally crosses the quest
receiver.
Then as soon as you hit your target level shoot over to the
closest questing spot and keep going at a good pace. If you
take one piece of advice from this World of Warcraft strategy
guide, make it this one - keep going at a good momentum.
If you are quite new to WoW, then you really should practise
all your techniques, spells and skills on low level creatures
first, so they come naturally to you when you most need
them.
