Horde Leveling Guide

One of the best races to play in the Horde faction is the Blood Elves. They are the grim survivors of the Scourge that destroyed their mystical homeland, they are committed to reclaiming the immense power they once had by any means necessary. This part of our Horde leveling guide focuses on Blood Elves.

The Blood Elf racial ability of Enchanting enhancement makes them excellent Enchanters, while their natural Silence gives them excellent defence against magic-wielders, while recovering their own mana. Blood Elves make the perfect Warlocks or Mages.

Getting Started

When you begin the game as a Blood Elf, the very first quest you get is in the building in front of you: called Reclaiming Sunstrider Isle from Magistrix Erona. Head down some steps and kill the Mana Wyrms - at least 8 of them. Then turn the quest in, congratulations - you have competed your first quest! Only a million to go.

You will get 2 follow up quests: Training and Unfortunate Measures.You can turn in Training straight away by entering the gazebo-type building again and finding your class trainer to get your first skills. Then you will get a follow up quest called: Well-Watcher Solanian, walk up the ramp to find the elf by the same name and turn the quest in.

He will give you quests: Solanian's Belongings and The Shrine of Dath'Remar. To your left is Arcanist Ithanas, who will give you another quest: Thirst Unending. Before you leave sell some of the junk you've collected now. I'll remind you a lot in this Horde leveling guide to sell your junk - it's the best way to make money right at the start.

Head on out, down the big stairs. You'll come across a Springpaw Lynx you have to kill, also find a Mana Wyrm and close it with Arcane Torrent. You ned to collect 6 Arcane Silvers and 8 Lynx Collars by killing monsters in this area. Turn in the quests you've finished and you should hit level 3. Just grind (kill creatures for he experience) until you do if you haven't yet. Magistrix Erona has another follow up quest for you: Report to Lanthan Perilon.

Head South and you'll find Solarian's Journal at coordinates 37.7, 24.9. Then find Lanthan Perilon to the West. Turn in Report to Lanthan Perilon. Accept the following quest. If you head South now you will come across Solanian's Scrying Orb, and then to the North West is the Scroll of Scourge Magic (at coordinates 31.4, 22.8).

Go West

Head to the West again and you will find a message: 'Shrine of Dath'Remar Discovered' (it's exactly at coordinates 28.9, 19.5 if you can't find it). Look at the shrine and read the tablet. Get back to the guys who gave you the quests and turn them all in. By now you should be at level 4, if not, grind until you are.

Return to Lanthan Perilon to return quest Aggression and grab the following quest Felendren the banished. Head to the South West and find the Arcane Wraiths - kill them. Then turn to the left and continue, you'll find some Tainted Arcane Wraiths to kill. One of them will drop a Tainted Arcane Silver, which you should make sure to grab. It will give you a quest when you right click on it. Continue to the very top, killing everything you come across, eventually you will come across the boss Felendren the Banished on a platform.

He is not too hard to beat. One thing is that he casts mind flay because he's a Shadow Priest so Arcane torrent will help you - use it. Once you've won, loot his head. Use your hearthstone to return to base camp and turn in the quest Tainted Arcance Sliver to Arcanist Helion. This will take you at least to level 5.
